Care Instructions

To keep your BRUNI bedding beautiful for years, we’ve reduced everything to five golden rules plus a quick, fabric-specific guide.

THE 5 GOLDEN RULES

  1. Inside Out Wash duvet covers and pillowcases inside out. This protects the surface sheen and prevents color streaks from rubbing against the drum.
  2. Zip It Up Always close all zippers before washing. Open zippers can snag the fabric and cause unnecessary abrasion or damage during the cycle.
  3. Space to Breathe Do not overload the machine. Premium fabrics need room to move; overcrowding leads to friction (pilling) and uneven cleaning. Avoid washing bedding with rough items like towels or denim.
  4. The Right Detergent & Brighteners Use a mild liquid detergent (powders can leave residue). Important: Never use detergents containing optical brighteners on colored or ivory fabrics. They are designed to bleach fabrics "whiter than white" and will fade your beautiful cream or colored sheets over time.
  5. Skincare Warning Benzoyl Peroxide (common in acne treatments) and Retinol-based products can permanently bleach cotton and yellow silk. Please allow these products to absorb fully before contact.

SELECT YOUR FABRIC:

COTTON (Ali, Livia, Eleia)

  • Cycle: Wash Colors at 40°C and Whites at 60°C.
  • Drying: The technical label recommends Drip Drying (vertical lines symbol) for maximum longevity. Alternative: For convenience, you may tumble dry on Low Heat.
  • Ironing: Iron on a Medium setting (2 dots). Dark colors on the reverse side to prevent shiny marks.
  • Important Tip: Avoid over-drying. "Bone dry" cotton becomes brittle and much harder to iron. Many dryers have a "Cotton" or "Iron Dry" setting designed to leave laundry slightly damp. This is intentional as it prevents the fabric from becoming brittle and makes smoothing out creases effortless.

LINEN (Lily)

  • Cycle: Wash Colors/Natural at 40°C and Whites at 60°C.
  • Drying: Tumble dry on Low Heat. The label allows low-heat tumbling, which helps soften the linen fibers and enhance the texture.
  • Ironing: Do Not Iron (crossed-out symbol). Why? This collection is designed with a signature "washed" texture. Ironing would flatten this intentional look. Simply shake it out and enjoy the relaxed, organic aesthetic.

MICROMODAL (Valeri)

  • Cycle: Wash at 30°C max on a delicate cycle.
  • Important: Never use fabric softener. Micromodal is naturally silky; softener coats the fibers and blocks their natural breathability.
  • Drying: Drip dry / line dry (vertical lines symbol). Avoid high-heat tumble drying. Alternative: If you must use a dryer, choose the lowest heat setting or Air Dry/No Heat/Lüften only. High heat will damage the fibers.
  • Ironing: Use a low-heat setting (one dot).

SILK BLEND (Aura)

  • Cycle: Machine wash at 30°C on the Silk, Wool, or Delicates cycle.
  • Detergent: You must use a pH-neutral, enzyme-free silk detergent. Regular detergents contain enzymes that "eat" silk proteins and dull the shine.
  • Drying: Air dry only (drip dry). Do not tumble dry.
  • Ironing: Cool iron (one dot) on the reverse side.
